Nature and purpose of the business
Excerpt from the shareholders’ agreement:
The purpose of the business is to promote Salzburg’s business and academic sectors, in particular by supporting appropriate collaboration and coordination of the state’s technology and innovation policy. This includes
- Acting as a strategic intermediary between the business world, university and non-university institutions, and other academic institutions in order to promote collaboration with one another, particularly with regard to research facilities based in Salzburg
- Developing, actively shaping and implementing projects and support measures, particularly in terms of knowledge, innovation and technology transfers
- Implementing relevant informative events or other activities suitable for supporting the company’s purpose
- Developing and implementing important strategic innovation projects as the project executing organisation
- Supplying research and development results to both the business and academic sectors and participating in research and development projects in this regard
- Supporting the creation of networks and clusters

The advisory board consists of eight persons delegated by the shareholders of Innovations- und Technologietranfer GmbH. The Advisory Board acts as an advisory body for the General Assembly.
